Hello, my name is Jacob Hauck. I am currently a P.h.D. candidate (started 8/2022) in mathematics at Missouri University of Science and Technology, where I am supported by the Kummer Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fellowship. My research is currently focused on efficient operator learning for problems with discontintuities, particularly in nonlocal mechanics.
Right now I am excited to be doing an internship at Oak Ridge National Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Guannan Zhang. I was also fortunate enough to be selected for the Department of Energy's Science Graduate Student Research program, which will allow me to work with Dr. Pablo Seleson, also at Oak Ridge National Lab on a project related to my P.h.D. research.
